Superstar Lione Messi has won his first trophy with his country's staff as Angel Di Maria's goal gave Argentina a 1-0 victory over Brazilian midfielder Copa America on Saturday. A victory at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro ended Argentina's 28-12 months in anticipation of the first trophy, and also ended Brazil's unbeaten home run of more than 2,500 days. Gabriel Batistuta's equalizer gave him a 2-1 win over Mexico without the Copa final in Ecuador.

"It's a great theme, especially for our people. The activists help the workers unconditionally. I think they can find out from this group that it doesn't contribute anything," said Argentine trainer Lionel Scaloni.

It turned out to be the first time in six domesticated gambling games that Brazil did not win a trophy.
